Description

Sodium hydroxide (\(\text{NaOH}\)), also known as caustic soda or lye, is a highly versatile white, solid ionic compound with a very high pH (strong base). Commonly used in drain cleaners, soap making, paper manufacturing, and food processing, it is produced primarily via the electrolysis of brine.
